When
I was a little girl my family used to say that I was an 'old soul'
because I often knew things that no one had told me about -- I realize
today that my Soul is capable of sending me "messages"…

"When
I first understood that the things that I somehow seemed to know--for
no apparent reason--were proof of what people call a "sixth
sense", I wondered how I could actually develop such a faculty
so that I could use it at will. At that time, I had not encountered
the concept of
SUPER
SENTIENCE, but
knew that the word "sentience" meant being able to perceive
things through channels that were not just about thinking or the
brain. As a young adult I was always excited to explore the unknown,
and I had a great hunger regarding those mysterious things that
were never quite explained. I was fascinated by what is generally
called spiritual, and made a study of everything that dealt with
the subtleties of being human. I was a child of a free-thinking
era of the 70's on a big quest… You could say that I was insatiable!"
"I
wanted to know the "secrets" of life because I felt that
tucked within them were clues that unlocked wonderful doors to hidden
possibilities! An early experience of what I now call "Soul-Talk™"
happened one day when I was about 10-years
old… My grandfather had become very angry with another family
member and I didn't want things to escalate any further and wished
for help. I remember retreating to the side of the house, making
myself very still, and then asking the angels, or God or somebody
in heaven to tell me what to do… After which, I literally
HEARD an
answer! It wasn't exactly like talking to my friends, but I knew
that it was real. I was convinced that a source of special "wisdom"
was available to me, if I just asked to hear it--even then
I made the enchantments of life simple and matter of fact."

SENTIENCE… 1) Higher Consciousness;
a kind of expanded perception and the ability to feel that which
is much deeper than mere sentience; the super-intelligence
of our Soul, the place where things like intuition and
the "sixth sense" spring from. 2) Typically related
to "meta-cognition",
or the ability to think about our own
thinking, analyze our own existence and also consciously develop
or evolve our selves. |
